When new things start showing up on the horizon, sometimes old things have to give way and lovingly be released. Letting go is not always easy. It takes time to reflect and release. Sometimes to grieve.
Now, the shift I’m feeling is more than resilience, it’s a redefinition. The reason I thought I moved back to Colorado may not be the real reason I have. Sometimes new layers come as underlying layers you thought were stable shift in unexpected ways. It’s not necessarily a bad thing or even that painful. It’s just like finding that you’ve been wearing shoes to tight. At first, your feet may ache with the increased blood flow. It’s like when you sit hunched in one position for far to long and you feel that ache and stiffness as you get up to stretch. That’s what I feel like right now.
